Application Footprint Cost and Sizing

Application Footprint Cost & Sizing is a service based on establishing an estimated cost for a specified application system footprint, using detailed knowledge and understanding of application estimating, benchmarking and the E2E IT design processes, along with knowledge of all the disparate cost drivers around software, hardware and labour; a structured methodology is used considering size, cost drivers, complexity factors, risk & contingency, commercial cost drivers such as overheads and profit margins to generate an expected fully loaded price that can be compared on a like-for-like basis.

The classic service provider will typically provide clients bids based on internally developed work breakdown structures that drive an internal development estimating model which in turn generates the price quoted in a prospective bid.

Footprint sizing can determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and the productivity that underlies the price and determine the accuracy or otherwise of the bid price.
