Stephen Magraw

Stephen Magraw is the founder of Stanian Limited, established in June 2004 after 5 years as consulting director for Gartner in government and retail financial services. Stephen has operated in many capacities in ICT including Applications Development, ICT Strategy, IS Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Data Architect. Today, Stephen specializes in ICT Management Consultancy in the Case Management systems and solutions market. Stephen has operated at executive level for numerous blue chip organizations and government bodies in UK, USA and other European countries. Stephen holds a BSc degree in Applied Computing from Manchester, an MSc in Managing Information Technology from Salford University and also holds the CMC (Certified Management Consultant) accreditation as an independently certified management consultant through the Institute of Management Consultants.

Robert Mastro

Robert Mastro has more than 30 years experience in the management and delivery of Health and Human Services computer system solutions and has managed many large and complex system development projects. Robert specializes in providing subject matter expertise in the development and implementation computer system solutions, and providing business process management and organizational change management consulting. Previously he was employed by Unisys Corporation as Vice President and Director for Unisys' Health and Human Services Practice, where he was responsible for the overseeing of product and business development specific to providing technology solutions to Federal, state, and local governments in meeting the health and human services requirements of their constituents. Before joining Unisys, he was the Information Technology Deputy Commissioner/CIO for the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance. There he was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the system development and maintenance of the agency’s computer application systems in support of programs such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Foods Stamps, Medicaid, Child Support, and Home Energy Assistance. He was directly responsible for the Statewide Welfare Management System Project (SWMS) which was New York State's effort to modernize it's aging eligibility and benefit issuance systems

Mr. Mastro was a contributor in the development of the Project Management Mentoring Program and Project Management Guidebook of the NYS Office for Technology and has served as a project management mentor. He was a member of New York State’s CIO Council, is past co-chair of the Council’s Strategic Planning Committee, and served on the Leadership, Fiscal and Procurement, and Intergovernmental Communication Committees. He also served as the Region 2 Representative to the Executive Board of the IT Solutions Management for Human Services (ISM) affiliate of the American Public Human Services Association.

Derek Arthur

Derek Arthur has more than 25 years experience working in the information technology industry. His career has included work in application design, development, implementation, project management, IS systems management, enterprise architecture, applications architecture, integration architecture, data architecture and security architecture. Derek left the MOD in 1997 to become an independent consultant, in recent years he has provided design authority services to Transco, United Utilities, Ofcom and BT Global Services. Derek holds a BSc(Hons) degree, awarded through the Open University. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the IET (formerly known as the IEE)

Martin Tate

Martin is an ICT and management consultant with over 20 years experience. His management expertise is formal decision-making for complex, high-risk decisions including evaluating strategic options. His ICT expertise is commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) system selection. He has applied his proven methods to public and commercial organizations around the world including Biwater, Castrol, DaimlerChrysler, DWP, the Fire Service, LEGO, Pearson, SCA and Turtle Wax. He is an MBCS, CITP and EurIng who both guest lectures at business schools and publishes on decision-making and ICT procurement.

Frank Vielba

Frank Vielba specializes in Merger & Acquisition ICT integration issues and transformational change. He has operated as Executive Director, ICT Director and Management Consultant in a number of blue chip international companies. He is a Chartered Engineer, a fellow of the British Computer Society and MBA. He has studied in Madrid, New York and London and worked in all five continents. As well as English he speaks Spanish, Italian and French.

Mervyn Stephenson

Mervyn joined HSBC Bank Group in 1974 from Sheffield University where he graduated with an honours degree in Economics & Business Studies. During nearly thirty years with the Bank he worked in all aspects of corporate business and his career included a secondment to the Bank of England. He also worked in New York for over four years and in Malaysia, where he was seconded to the British High Commission. He retired from the Bank in 2004 as an Area Director in the North West of England.

Since then he has been working as an independent consultant providing financial and general management advice to medium sized organisations. Assignments have included:

• Interim management services to one of the NWDA’s sub regional partnerships 
• Banking support to an international commodity company 
• Project management services to a North West inward investment agency seeking to attract companies from Greater China looking to set up an operation in the UK or raise funding on AIM 
• Identification of development opportunities for a major quoted company providing property solutions in the North -West
• Assistance with the identification and negotiation of funding for a bio-technology start-up company.

Malcom Timms

Over twenty years experience at board level in a broad spectrum of manufacturing sectors including automotive, plastics, rubber, and packaging. Experience in business start-ups and turnarounds within SMEs, inward investment projects and business relocation and currently working as Business Adviser/Mentor/Coach to a number of SMEs. Malcolm’s skills include: restructuring business processes, business relocations, business start-ups and where necessary obtaining local business support grants, business to business sales including sales and marketing strategy formulation & manufacturing processes and logistics. Malcolm holds a MBA from Bolton Business School (1995) and a MSc in Marketing from Salford University (1992 – 1994) and is also both a fellow of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute), and member of the IBC (institute of Business Consulting).

Peter Lewis

Peter specialises in technology transfer, compliance and problem solving using innovative methods. With a proven track record in management, he was formerly Head of EMC at the University of Salford, brought European Competent Body status to the University from the Department of Trade and Industry, and was key instigator for the UK’s National EMC awareness campaign. He has worked for many blue chip companies including AstraZeneca, Guinness, British Nuclear Fuels Limited and Balfour Beatty. He is a Chartered Engineer and physicist and a member of IET and IEEE. Peter holds degrees in Applied and Computational Physics, is a European expert and international speaker and trainer on innovation and compliance.

Andre Sanlley

Andre specializes in the areas of Financial and Economic consultancy to businesses. He holds an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Manchester and a Bachelors Degree in Economics at the PUCMM University in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, Andre is a certified programmer for the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software, with experience in business intelligence and data mining.

Ruth Badoo

Ruth is a young IT professional who has worked over the past 8 years in various IT roles including hardware/software, internet engineering, and network & mail server administration. Ruth has worked on consultancy projects covering procurement marketing strategy, IT strategy and IT service delivery. Ruth holds a BSc Degree in Computer Science from University of Science and Technology, Ghana and a MSc. in Information Technology Management & Organizational Change from Lancaster University. Ruth holds industry certifications in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Foundation Certificate and a Managerial and entrepreneurial skills certificate, EMPRETEC Ghana Foundation.

Kevin O’Sullivan

Kevin O’Sullivan is an IT and Management consultant with over 27 years experience working in the Financial Services, with portfolio managers, private banks, stockbrokers and fund Supermarkets. His experience covers systems selection & development, innovation, compliance, risk, security, BCP, innovation, sales & marketing and research. He is a Fellow of the Securities & Investment Institute, a Chartered IT Professional within the BCS, Professional Member of The British Computer Society, Fellow of the RSA, Member of the Institute of Directors, Member of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association, Member of the International Systems Security Association and Member of the Securities Industry Management Association.

Gopal Kapoor

Gopal Kapoor is a graduate of Lancaster University (BSc Honours Operations Management 2:1) As Business Consultant to local Lancaster firm Purely Mineral he has demonstrated his expertise in product marketing through the development of an e-business strategy employing innovative methods for increasing web traffic and mobile technology to increase sales. His input helped the firm to secure a grant of £20,000 from BT for a full IT and communications audit. Having undertaken work placements with Nestle, Ranbaxy and Bhagat Exports in India, Gopal has considerable knowledge and experience of supply chain management. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
