As founder of Stanian, Stephen Magraw was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) in September 2009 as well as the Chartered ICT Professional (CITP) status from the same body.
About FBCS: The grade of Fellowship comprises the most senior and respected professionals in the field of ICT. Fellowship is open to those who hold a senior ICT position or have an established reputation of eminence or authority in the field of ICT.
About CITP: CITP is the benchmark of ICT excellence, and is a rigorously assessed, employer led standard, recently updated in line with the needs of industry leaders, government and the academic community. Holding Chartered status reflects your integrity, professionalism and dedication to your work. Your status will be recorded and recognised in a formal listing of new Chartered ICT Professionals in both the Daily and Sunday Telegraph; a detailed register is also available to potential clients and employers on the BCS website as a resource for finding leading ICT practitioners.
About the CMC Award: The Certified Management Consultant (CMC) accreditation is awarded via the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC). The award is the mark of a competent and confident consultant. It is the only internationally portable consultancy award and is recognised in 67 countries. The IBC is the only organisation in the United Kingdom who is able to award the CMC and is accreditted to do so by the ICMCI.
The CMC Award is achieved by completing a competency-based assessment process – the competencies are set at the Independence level of our Management Consultancy Competence Framework and undertaken by experienced assessors who assess the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to be a successful consultant. By achieving this award, you indicate to clients and peers that you have been independently verified against universally accepted standards for experienced business consultants.
CMC certifies and guarantees to clients that holders have the experience and knowledge to deliver impartial, professional and cost-effective interventions with their interests central to your work. IBC regularly check the extent of member service usage to ensure effective delivery and outcomes.
